The hundreds of people waiting in front of Yangon Insein Prison this morning for the release of their families and friends who have been brutally arrested during the anti-coup demonstrations has increased to hundreds from the previous days.

The violent crackdowns are continuing today in Yangon, security forces use tear gas to disperse hundreds of protesters  in Insein road around this afternoon. 

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has been filed additional two charges, after facing court proceedings today on charges of possessing unregistered walkie-talkies and violating coronavirus rules. Today she has been filed another charges under Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code for the letters issued by the CRPH caused instability in the country and under Section 67 of the Telecommunications Law for using illegal import and export equipment.

The  ousted president Win Myint and Naypyitaw Council Chairman Dr Myo Aung  have filed another charge today under Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code.

According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners-AAPP’s statistics updated on Feb.28, a total of 1132 people have been listed as arrested or charged,  among them at least 833 are listed  still under detention or have outstanding charges. The AAPP added there are approximately one thousand people who have been arrested across the country yesterday in anti-coup demonstrations, that have not been listed. 

A car having 5 policemen that hit a motorcycle and drove away, was arrested by the people and found more than 10 different types of firearms in the car in the second largest city, Mandalay yesterday.

It is reported that a deputy police chief from No.5 police station in Aung Myay Thar Zan township, Mandalay, has joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) on Feb 28.

The Japanese government called for the actions against the perpetrators of deadliest crackdowns on the Myanmar civilians who were protesting peacefully and strongly condemned the security forces’ violent shootings which resulted in many deaths and serious injuries, Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato said during a new conference in Tokyo this morning.

An application named “WayWayNay” (term refer to Stay Away)has been launched to boycott military related products and services.
