Burma’s new opposition party, the National Democratic Force (NDF), yesterday formally opened its headquarters in Rangoon. The party, formed from the ashes of the now-defunct National League for Democracy (NLD), has registered for elections this year and will form part of the small, but vocal, official opposition to military rule in Burma.
