BRIEF - 24 Burmese migrants arrested in Thailand

Twenty-four migrants from Burma’s Tenasserim Division were arrested for illegal entry into Thailand on Tuesday, Thai news site Manager Online reported, citing a policeman who said he received a tip-off. The migrants were apprehended while hiding in a house in western Thailand’s Ratchaburi province. The group reportedly entered the country with the help of a broker because they were told that Thailand would issue them work documents. Fifteen men and nine women between the ages of 19 and 37 were detained and will be charged with unlawful entry.
