BRIEF – Burmese baby found alive beside murdered parents in Thailand

A two-week old Burmese girl was found weak but alive at least 48 hours after her parents were murdered at a rubber plantation in the southern Thai province of Yala, the Bangkok Post reported on Wednesday. The Burmese couple, who were named, were each killed by a blow to the head with an axe. Police believe the murderer knew the couple as no property was stolen from the hut, the report said. Thousands of Burmese migrants work in rubber plantations in southern Thailand.
