BRIEF – Kerry accommodated at blacklisted firm’s hotel

US Secretary of State John Kerry and his delegation reportedly stayed at the Lake Garden Hotel in Naypyidaw during their visit last weekend when Kerry urged Burma to speed up reforms. The hotel is owned by tycoon Zaw Zaw, whose company Max Myanmar built the luxury resort last year. Both he and his firm are on the Special Designated Nationals list maintained by the US Treasury Department. The US Embassy was unavailable for comment.
