BUSINESS — Tender reopened for Hantharwaddy Airport

Bidding has reopened for the construction of Hantharwaddy Airport near Pegu, which, once built, will be the biggest in Burma. Talks between the government and Korean’s Incheon International Airport Corp broke down in February following disputes over airport capacity. The second choice for the original tender, Singaporean company Yongnam Holdings, will be made to resubmit alongside other applicants, according to the Department of Civil Aviation. Applicants have until 22 April to submit bids.
