Chemical dyes found in Burmese condiments

Burma’s Food and Drug Administration has found that chemical dyes have been widely used in making nga-pi (fermented fish), chili powder and bamboo shoots, which are then sold in Naypyidaw. Mobile labs have circulated major cities in recent months testing foodstuffs for hazardous substances.
