Second bomb found and defused this week in Myawaddy

An explosive was defused by the Burmese bomb squad, 904th Combat Engineering Battalion, just hours before detonation in Myawaddy, Karen State on Tuesday. Myawaddy district police Deputy-Superintendent Aung Myint confirmed that the device was set to detonate at noon near the Myanmar Economic Bank and the town courthouse. The explosive was found and reported to the police by a local tea shop owner. This is the second explosive defused this week in Myawaddy.
