Solar Impulse readies for pan-Pacific leg

Pilot Andre Borschberg awaits the green light to navigate a solar-powered aircraft on the seventh leg of a journey around the world. The Solar Impulse II will take off from Nanjing in China to Hawaii, with Tuesday slated as the earliest day for departure. Borschberg will fly the zero-fuel airplane on the 8,172km (4,412NM) journey across the Pacific Ocean for an estimated time of 120 hours.
