Thai police question 3 Burmese over tourists’ murder

Thai police are questioning three Burmese men over the murder of two British tourists on the island of Koh Tao on Monday. The Thai authorities wasted no time in calling for swift arrests, with even the Thai PM pointing out that the brutal slaughter “has affected our image”. UK media reports said police were also seeking a British man who had been travelling with one of the victims. “Thai authorities frequently accuse migrants from Myanmar and Cambodia of committing crimes in the kingdom,” said AFP.
