Thai rescue team missing on Hkakabo Razi

A Thai helicopter supporting the search and rescue operation for two missing Burmese mountaineers has reportedly gone missing. The helicopter, Advance Aviation B-4, was on its way to Hkakabo Razi base camp on a food-supply mission when it lost contact 20 minutes after taking off from Putao airport on Saturday. A search has now been launched for the two pilots in addition to the effort to find climbers Aung Myint Myat and Wai Yan Min Thu who have not been heard from since they scaled the summit of the Himalayan peak on 31 August.
