Children of disasters

Cyclone Nargis, which struck southern Burma in May 2008, left around 140,000 people dead and orphaned thousands of children. Many have since had to fend for themselves and their siblings; young children taking on the role of parents in a society torn to pieces by one of Asia’s worst recorded natural disasters. DVB explores the psychological trauma that the cyclone has inflicted on children in Burma.
