    • The National League for Democracy (NLD) will not attend a meeting hosted by the military-formed Union Election Commission, said  the NLD official  at a press conference held at the NLD office on February 23 regarding the raid of the NLD headquarters. The military-formed election commission issued on Feb 22 an invitation letter to political parties in Myanmar to hold talks for a meeting on Feb26.
    • Australia’s second-most senior military officer, Vice-Chief of the Defence Force David Johnston made a  first time phone call on Monday with Vice-Senior General Soe Win, and Vice-Chief David Johnson has urged through the phone call to restore democracy and free detained Australian academic Sean Turnell.
    • Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s State Counsellor’s Office was dissolved by the military council on Feb22. 
    • People with disabilities also took part in the protest against the military dictatorship in Momauk, Kachin State,  on 23 February.
    • Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye, Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Ohn Maung, Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Naing Thet Lwin, and Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Ohn Win were released on the evening of Feb 23. 
    • A spokesperson for the Indonesian Embassy in Yangon met with protesters on Feb 23 in front of the embassy and claimed that Indonesia does not support holding a fresh election announced by the military. And the spokesperson denied a Reuters report on Monday (Feb 22) that Indonesia was attempting ASEAN neighbors to support the new election. Reuters also reported that the Indonesian Foreign Ministry sent another letter on the morning of Feb 23 stating that the country’s democratic transition should be in accordance with the wishes of the Myanmar people.   
    • The United States will not hesitate to take further action against those who perpetrate violence and suppress the will of the people, and condemn the security forces’ brutal attack on unarmed protesters which resulted in 4 deaths and injured over 40 individuals, according to the press release by Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken on Feb 23. 
    • In Khamti, Sagaing, the military has forced to close the hospital which provides free medical care to the public, local doctors said. 
    • As of 8 PM, 23 Feb, a total of 1,159 samples were tested, and found 22 more new cases. MoHS has reported 141,783 of total confirmed cases including 131,358 discharged, and 3,197 deaths.
