Four Paws International and Mingalar Myanmar say they have received an unwavering number of requests in the past four months for rescue assistance, emergency food provisions, and veterinary treatment.
“The crack appeared this morning along the road next to the village – it’s about 600 metres in length. If the rain doesn’t stop, it may trigger a landslide.”
Although local authorities are managing assistance to the flood victims, they will soon have shortages of food and water.
“It would be nice if the government could provide some assistance, such as rice and clean water to drink,” said a local farmer.
