Hopes are fast fading for the two Burmese mountaineers, Aung Myint Myat and Wai Yan, and a 27 September deadline has been set to find the climbers alive.
Following discussions with the Burmese rescue effort, the mission to rescue Aung Myint Myat and Wai Yan Min Thu has been postponed until rainy conditions on the Himalayan mountain subside.
Six mountaineers have reached the town of Tha-hong-tan at the foot of the mountain in good health; they say they lost contact with the other two during descent from summit.
