Aye Naing, a resident and refugee of the Umpiem Refugee Camp In Northern Thailand. Aye Naing stepped on a landmine in her village near Hpa-an in Karen State and lost a leg and afterwards fled to Thailand in 2005 following a raid on her village by the Burmese army . The Umpiem Refugee Camp houses thousands of ethnic Burmese refugees who fled persecution by the Burmese army.
