Dec 23, 2008 (DVB), Academy award-winning actor Tun Tun Naing died in the early hours of this morning at the Maha Myaing specialist hospital in Rangoon at the age of 57.
According to the editor of a magazine in Burma, Tun Tun Naing's death was caused by high blood pressure, and he had appeared to be in good health until yesterday.
Tun Tun Naing was a respected actor and was actively involved in the Burmese film world.
He won the Burmese film academy award for best supporting actor in 1985 for his role in the film Chit Mi-Hlyan-Deh-Ga May Cho.
His funeral will be held on 25 December at Ye Way cemetery in Rangoon.
