Former movie star Kyaw Thu (C, with glasses), chairman and founder of Yangon's Free Funeral Services Society, helps to place the body of famous Buddhist monk Bhadanta Kovida into a hearse at Nyein Chan Yae (Peace) monastery in Yangon June 25, 2011. In a country where rights groups say a third of the population live below the poverty line, the Free Funeral Services Sociey, founded by Kyaw Thu in 2001, assists the poor who cannot afford funeral costs. Additionally, the Society now offers its services ranging from transporting bodies to cremation to all on request. The society, which depends on donations, has provided services for over 100,000 funerals to Buddhists as well as Christians and Muslims. Picture taken June 25, 2011.
