BRIEF - Burma’s hospitals soon to offer free services, Ministry says

An official from Burma’s Ministry of Health said that state hospitals in all administrative states and regions will soon offer more free services, following the model of Rangoon General Hospital. Sein Win, a ministerial official, said that the decision was based on suggestions from the general public and that the ministry will strive to meet the needs of the people. Last September, Rangoon General Hospital began offering some services free of charge including X-rays and ultrasounds.
