More than 50 died from electrocution this year

Fifty-five people died from electrocution across Burma since the start of the year, state media reported on Friday. Most of the deaths were caused by improper handling of conductive materials and mishandling of electronic equipment in factories, mills and houses. Falling power lines were also a major cause of death, according to the report in Burmese-language Myanma Alinn. A total of 107 people died from electrocution in 2013, the report said.
