BRIEF – Thein Sein warns 'zero tolerance' against those instigating violence

President Thein Sein warned that the government now has a “zero tolerance” policy against rioters, and pledged that those who instigate violence or cause destruction will be dealt with. “The government will have zero tolerance, and will impose harsh and immediate action on the instigators of violence and perpetrators of destruction,” he said during Monday’s radio address. His speech comes after two died last week from communal rioting in Mandalay.
