New smartphone brand takes punt in Burma

A new smartphone brand has been launched in Burma to compete on the country’s booming telecoms market. Chinese manufacturer Vivo Mobile credits Burma’s expanding economy, increasing infrastructure and youthful market as the basis for the investment. “Vivo Mobile’s entrance into the Myanmar market, the last economic frontier in the world, is a significant step to expand our business in the region,” says Vivo’s Burma CEO Wang Chang, cited in Myanmar Business Today.
