BRIEF – Six countries to vie for chinlone gold in SEA Games

Six countries will compete in the men’s category of chinlone – Burma’s traditional sport, a combination of sport and dance – in the 28th South East Asia Games to be hosted by Singapore in June. A ten-member Burmese team, the favourite to win the gold medal, is in training in Naypyidaw and will face rival teams from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia and Lao, according to a report in The Manila Times. Chinlone for men and women was added to the SEA Games in 2013 by hosts Burma.
