Award-winning photographer James Mackay travelled to the Thai-Burma border to document the underground activist and hip hop group, Generation Wave, as they made the video for their recent single, ‘Never Give Up’. The group, formed in the wake of the September 2007 monk-led uprising, distributes lyrically-subversive CDs inside Burma and carries out various graffiti and leafleting campaigns aimed at inspiring Burma’s youth to stand up to the ruling junta.
