The earthquake on March 28 was one of the strongest ever recorded in Myanmar history. The epicenter is somewhere beneath Yaekharinn and Kyauktar villages in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. Nearly all the homes in both villages were damaged, with at least 20 completely destroyed.
