DVB correspondent dies after illness

Dec 10, 2007 (DVB), Democratic Voice of Burma correspondent Soe Win Nyo died on 4 December in Oslo at the age of 47 due to liver problems.

Soe Win Nyo had been working with DVB since its establishment in 1992.

He took part in the 1988 uprising and was a member of the Democratic Party for a New Society.

His funeral was held in Oslo at 9.30am on 7 December.
