With less than a month to go until the elections in Burma, parties are busy campaigning on the streets of urban areas across the country. Candidates for the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) and the National Unity Party (NUP), the two strongest contenders for the vote, are spreading their numbers across Rangoon, distributing flyers and speaking to locals who have mixed feelings about the elections.
