A cyclone from the Bay of Bengal made landfall along coastal areas of Myanmar on Oct. 24. The regime’s Department of Meteorology and Hydrology predicted that the storm may cause more flooding and landslides nationwide, as the country is still cleaning up after remnants of Typhoon Yagi devastated the country on Sept. 9.
