Heavy monsoon rains flooded the streets of downtown Rangoon on Thursday and Friday. Residents in Rangoon’s suburban outskirts were reportedly unable to travel to large swaths of downtown on Friday morning due to the excessive flooding that is putting additional strain on the city’s fragile infrastructure.
