- Four volunteers from Mon Myat Sate Htar Nursing Home Association, lethally beaten and arrested by security forces during giving emergency health services in the deadliest crackdown in North Okkalapa on Wednesday, are in good health and sent to Insein prison last night, the Nursing Home’s official told DVB. At the time of their arrest, the ambulance they(the volunteers) used was smashed and shot.
- Basic Education level staff including teachers involved in the Civil Disobedience Movement(CDM) are being pressured to return to work, teachers said. As of a leaked document from the Regional Education Office, educational staff who were absent since Mar 1 must return to work by Mar 15, and if they do not show up on Mar 16, the departmental inspection team will be formed and inspection will be carried out.
- UNICEF announced on Wednesday that it condemns the use of force against children, including live ammunition, and calls on security forces to immediately refrain from violence and to keep children and young people out of harm’s way by prioritizing their protection from all forms of violence.
- The group named “Generation Z” in Kayah state have been helping nearly 80 CDM workers in Kayah State since Mar 3, said its member told DVB. It is reported that Kayah State has the highest number of CDM workers from the Education and Health department, and it stands 1st with about 100 CDM police members across the country.
- In Bhamo city, Kachin State, last night police and soldiers have forcibly arrested five civilians, including three night security guards and a firefighter, and they were released after locals blocked the road and banging pots and pans demanding their release, according to locals.
- The ousted Prime Minister of Rakhine State U Nyi Pu, who was charged under Section 505 (b) of panel code, was arraigned for court hearing through online for the second time this morning.
- Min Ko Naing, an 88 student leader, has delivered a message through his facebook today that there are the three main pillars of the uprising_the CRPH, CDM and the demonstrations that are needed to be more balanced at this time.
- Three policemen from Waingmaw Township Police Station in Kachin State have participated in the CDM today. One of the joined police officers, Phone Myat Zaw said on his facebook that they joined the CDM because they no longer want to serve under the military dictatorship, and will return to office only when the military restores the civilian government to power.
- A person who is assumed to be giving the information of anti-coup protesters to the military, was evicted by the neighborhoods in Kale city, Sagaing region today at noon.
- The “Shwe Kyin” Buddhist monks association has addressed a joint petition letter today to the military council urging to end the violent crackdowns. - Despite the deadly crackdowns happening, anti-coup demonstrations continue their regular rallyings the streets of cities across the country today in the morning.
- The soldiers and police violently raided social assistant organization, Free Funeral Service Society (FFSS) (on March 3) last night, around 11 p.m local time for no reason, and network connected devices and all information devices related to the media were confiscated and damaged and taken away, and several volunteers at the organization were beaten. U Kyaw Thu led social assistant organization, FFSS regularly provides funeral service, in addition the organization is helping the people who are injured in the ongoing anti-coup demonstrations.
- It is reported that the military have been attacking event health volunteers who have been helping the injured in the demonstrations. Yesterday in North Okkalapa township, Yangon, a security camera recorded that health volunteers were lethally beaten off the head and legs by security forces, and an ambulance they(the volunteers) were using was smashed and destroyed.
- Hundreds of people have attended and rallied today morning for the funeral of 19-year-old Ma Kyay Sin who was shot in the head by security forces during the anti-coup demonstration in Mandalay.
- Since the Feb.1 coup, yesterday crackdowns have become the most deadly & brutal day. As of the UN, at least 38 people were killed during the protests across the country on Wednesday. The highest death toll was in North Okkalapa township alone, in Yangon, killing around 20 people in just one day, and still counting.
- As of 9:30 local time last night, the doctor confirmed that at least 18 people were killed in North Okkalapa township, Yangon during yesterday’s protests, making the highest death toll in just one place. It is reported that there are many people with gunshot wounds at North Okkalapa Hospital and some are in critical condition.
- In Mawlamyine, Mon state, a 19-year-old Maung Htet Wai Htoo, university student was shot in the head and died at 9:30 pm on March 3, according to a doctor in charge of Ngwe Moe Hospital in Mawlamyine. He was shot while watching protesters from his own cold drink shop. There have been 2 deaths in Mawlamyine including one man who was killed in the Feb.28 demonstration.
- The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) has assigned Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun to manage foreign and diplomatic affairs, according to an order issued by the acting Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Zin Mar Aung on Wednesday.
- All City Mart stores except for Ocean Supercenter Naypyidaw and Taunggyi branches will be temporarily closed starting from today (Mar 4) to ensure the safety of employees and customers. According to the announcement issued by City Mart Holdings Limited-CMHL on Mar 3, the situation is being monitored, and further changes will be updated and announced as soon as possible.

- At least 5 people were killed as Myanmar security forces fired on pro-democracy protesters, and more than 10 people have been wounded today in Monyar, Sagaing region. Besides, 2 protesters were shot dead and 20 more were wounded in today’s anti-coup demonstrations in Mandalay.
- Police and military violently cracked down on the anti-military regime protest today in Myingyan, Mandalay region, a 21-year-old protester has been killed and 19 wounded.
- One protester was killed and at least 5 were injured today in Salin, Magway region when the police opened fire on the protesters demanding the release of 2 detainees.
- A 19-year-old Ma Kyal Sin and 37-year-old Ko Myo Naing were shot dead today during the security forces crackdown on the protesters who were protesting peacefully in Mandalay.
- DVB’s reporter Ko Min Nyo based in Pyay, Bago region, was violently beaten and arrested by police at around noon today while covering a protest near the clock tower, he was hit in the forehead and his face was covered in blood, according to a witness.
- A 16-year-old boy was shot dead by the security forces during the anti-coup demonstration in Taungdwingyi township, Magway, on Tuesday evening.
- “Myanmar’s military regime must immediately and unconditionally release DVB’s reporter Kaung Myat Hlaing and all other members of the press being held for their work, and stop detaining journalists in retaliation for their news coverage, journalists must be allowed to cover Myanmar’s anti-coup protests without fear of arbitrary arrest,” said Shawn Crispin, Committee to Protect Journalists’ senior Southeast Asia representative on Tuesday.
- The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) announced on Tuesday that it has named four Acting Union Ministers to assume the duties on behalf of the Union Ministers. This action was done in advance to form another union government that would become a much-anticipated national unity government and relevant groups are in talks for implementation, CRPH spokesperson U Yee Mon told DVB.

- Police and military personnel used tear gas to crack down on the protesters in Kyun Taw Road, Sanchaung Township, Yangon this morning, at least 10 people were arrested and protesters’ shields and other belongings were confiscated.
- Myanmar Herald’s(ThanTawSint) reporter Ye Yint Tun who was arrested during the violence crackdown of anti-coup demonstrations, based in Pathein city, Ayeyarwady region was transferred to Pathein Prison on March 1. Although Ye Yint Tun was said he is a journalist when they arrested him in the demonstrations, the police reject and he was arrested. It is reported that police in Pathein arrested reporters covering the anti-coup protects and confiscated their phones and deleted their records.
- Southeast Asia nations called on all parties in Myanmar to refrain from instigating further violence and to seek a peaceful solution through constructive dialogue and practical reconciliation in the interests of the people, during the Informal ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on March 2. Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Phillippine called for the release of ousted leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and officials.
- A total of 14 people including ministers from Lashio Kachin Baptist Church and students from Kutkai Theological Seminary who were violently arrested by police in northern Shan State have been released on Tuesday.
- Security forces dispersed the protesters with tear gas since Tuesday morning near Yuzana Plaza in Tamwe Township, Yangon, arrested at least 8 protesters and 6 were injured by rubber bullets, according to a witness. Police escalated the crackdown for the 3rd time in the evening and some wounded.

- Police and military cracked down on the hundreds of thousands of protesters in Kalay, Sagaing region this morning by using water cannons and firing smoke grenades, a total of 5 protesters were injured and 3 out of 5 were in critical condition.
- Kachin State Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Dashi La Sai, charged under section 505(b) of the Penal Code, was arraigned on the evening of Mar 1, said his lawyer.
- Dr. Arkar Moe Thu, a professor at the Department of Oriental Studies, Yangon University, has been arrested by three armed men in mufti at around 8 am today (Mar 2) while teachers and students were gathering to protest near RC 2 in Yangon, a witness teacher confirmed.
- In Hpa-an, Kayin state, security forces used tear gas and fired to disperse the anti-military regime demonstrations on the morning of Mar 1, at least 100 protesters were arrested and some were injured, said a CDM health worker.
- Nearly 300 protesters from Kamayut, Hlaing, Sanchaung, Kyimyindaing, Tamwe, Alone, Thingangyun townships’ strikes, detained in the Insein Prison, were released this early morning and sent to their respective township police stations, the department of prisons said that families have to get them back at the local police stations. - In Kachin state, forest department staff led by Bamaw District Chief Forest Officer announced on Monday that they will resume their duties after the return of the civilian elected government and continue the civil disobedience movement.
- 24 Myanmar nationals were arrested yesterday for illegally crossing the border into western Thailand, according to Bangkok Post.
- In Ayeyarwady region, 18 protesters in Ingapu township have been charged under section 505(a) of the Penal Code and were remanded in Ingapu township court.
- It is reported that the Myanmar Herald (Than Taw Sint) reporter, Ko Ye Yint Tun, who was arrested while covering protests in Pathein, Ayeyarwady region, has been sent to Pathein prison on March 1.

- Despite the deadly crackdowns, the anti-coup protesters continue to rally today in Yangon and other cities across the country.
- Thousands have attended the today funeral of the teacher, Daw Tin Nwe Yee, a 59-year-old, who teaches history and math to 7th grade students was shot dead by live rounds on February 28 during the protest against the military dictator.
- DVB’s reporter, Kaung Myat Hlaing (a) Aung Kyaw based in Myeik, Tanintharyi Region was forcely carried out the arresting at around 10:45 pm on March 1 by the military and police security forces. His wife explained, “the apartment was thrown by stones, and all glass windows were shattered, after that they broke the main door, smashed CCTV cameras and took them away, and he was arrested without giving any reason”. It is unknown where Aung Kyaw was detained, and his family has lost contact since his arrests.
- DVB released a statement that calls for immediate and unconditional release for its reporter, 31-year-old Kaung Myat Naing (a) Aung Kyaw was arbitrarily arrested March 1, 10:45 p.m local time, as well as other reporters who forcely arrested by security forces. The statement added that DVB strongly condemns the act of the arbitrary abduction of the journalists.
- Myanmar Plaza located in Kabaraye Pagoda Road, Yangon, will be closed temporarily starting from March 2 regarding the current situation and customers will be updated through Facebook when the shopping center is reopened, according to its Facebook page. Protesters used to gather in front of the Myanmar Plaza and stage anti-military regime protests amid the coup.
- In Myeik, Tanintharyi region, military personnel and police forces raided houses in Aung Mingalar and Inlay Myaing wards on Monday, violently beat and arrested the residents who were living in their houses, and they destroyed houses, shops, motorbikes and took away money, said locals.
- Relevant media outlets need to contact the Myanmar Press Council for the immediate release of detained journalists, said legal adviser U Khin Maung Myint. For the time being, there was a lack of trust in the military-dominated press council.
- Police and military personnel raided a Kachin Baptist Church in Lashio, northern Shan State, on Monday and arrested 10 people including four ministers.
- The Central Bank has directed private banks in the country to limit the amount of money withdrawal of depositors. Starting from March 1, depositors will be allowed to withdraw 20 lakhs per person per week in the private banks, and for each organization & companies will be allowed to withdraw a maximum of 20 million kyats per week. In addition, only 500,000 kyats per day can be withdrawn from ATMs. Most of the local private banks in the country remain closed to this day due to the CDM campaign against the military coup.
