- Yesterday(Feb20) the night patrol civilian was shot dead in T-15 Ward, Shwepyithar Township, Yangon, and the police did not allow to file his case. It is reported that in Yangon, since the coup, people have been patrolling the streets to protect the neighborhoods from night military raids and any criminals.
- It is urged to close all shops and to take to the streets for the anti-protest tomorrow(Feb22). It is trending on social media especially Facebook that tomorrow, February 22, the day the two-digit numbers meet in five(22,2,2021), all shops will be closed, and supermarkets such as Gamone Pwint, City-Mark have also announced that all shops will be temporarily closed for the day.
- Despite deadly shootings, anti-coup protests remain strong in Mandalay, and thousands of monks staged a sit-in anti-coup protest at 2 pm on the corner of 35th Street and 80th Street in Maha Aung Myay Township, Mandalay.
- In Inle, Southern Shan State on 21 February, about 500 motorboats, nearly 12,000 people including indigenous_ Pa-O, DaNu, and other ethnics, along with CDM health workers, more teachers participated in the demonstration against military-coup as the 4th Inle Floating Strike.

On February 20, the 10 ethnic armed organizations_EAOs that signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement_NCA announced a joint statement that they oppose the military coup and will suspend political talks with the military junta. The statement calls for the immediate release of all detainees, and expresses that they are against the violent crackdown on peaceful protesters.
U Nyi Nyi Shwe, a 88 Generation Student was forcely arrested by a group of men on February 20, around 8:30 pm while he was sitting in a restaurant near a high school in Taunggyi, Shan state.
On February 21(today), Facebook removed the page of the military’s news information team, which has been the main source of information on the coup d’état in Myanmar.
Residents protested in front of the ward office this morning, demanding they did not want a ward administrator directly appointed by the coup junta, in Kone Lat Paung village, Mingaladon Township,Yangon.
The General Strike Committee (GSC) was formed on February 20 by the 25 organizations, including civil society, political parties, and any other relevant stakeholders. The committee is mainly aimed for the overthrow of the military dictatorship, along with for the repeal of the 2008 constitution, and for a federal democratic union.
Five youths were arrested by the military at around 10 pm on November 20 in Putao, Kachin State, for leading an anti-military protest, the locals said.
A well-known actor and director, Lu Min was forcely arrested by the military on the night of February 20. His wife declared on facebook_ “the door was broken down by, they did not say where he would be taken, and he was forcibly taken away. ”
Police had destroyed a vast printed slogan, “WE WANT DEMOCRACY”, written by the anti-coup young people on the street in the city of Kalewa, Sagaing region.
Ward Township Administrators in Mogok Township, Mandalay Region have been fired by the Township General Administrator’s Office.
Under the military dictatorship, some Ward or Township Administrators resigned and joined the civil disobedience movement-CDM. It is reported that the military state administrative council is appointing new ward or township administrators, and locals are protesting by banging pots and pans in some states and regions.
The young anti-coup protesters were arrested while they were writing a slogan_”WE WANT DEMOCRACY” on the uphill street in Hpakant,Kachin state. And some of them were released, after thousands of people protested for the immediate release of the youth in front of the police station.Two protesters were shot dead and at least 45 people were injured and more than 20 were arrested during the anti-coup protest at Mandalay Yatanarpon shipyard yesterday (Feb 20) evening.

- Police and soldiers forcibly crackdown the anti-coup protesters in a rally in Myitkyina, Kachin state on the morning of February 19, arresting at least 10 people, including two teachers.
- The National League for Democracy issued an announcement yesterday(19Feb) on its facebook that a Committee Representing Shan State Hluttaw (CRSSH) is formed with the elected MPs, and it will be responsible for all powers related to the Shan State Hluttaw.
- More than 700 Insein Railways workers participating in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) have threatened to withdraw off their duty if they do not return to work by the end of this month.
- It is reported that 2 Myanmar national women went on a hunger strike since Monday in front of the Telenor headquarters in Oslo, Norway, and demanded to stand with Myanmar people, and not to take part in internet cutoffs by military-orders in Myanmar.
- Since Sunday (Feb 14) night, the internet shutdowns have been ongoing for the past 6 consecutive nights between 1 am and 9 am.
- As of 12 noon, Feb 19, more than 17,000 civil servants in 284 townships across Myanmar participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) to condemn the coup, most of the CDM staff were doctors with the highest number of more than 2,900, according to CDM 2021.
- As of 8 PM, 19 Feb, a total of 1,117 samples were tested and found 19 more new cases and 1 death. MoHS has reported 141,728 of total confirmed cases including 131,209 discharged, and 3,194 deaths.
- “The Burmese military must restore the democratically elected government,” US Secretary of State Antony Bilnken tweeted. - 20-year-old, Mya Thwe Thwe Khaing, was passed away today(Feb 19) and became the first protester to die in the anti-coup protests in Myanmar, after she was shot in the head during the anti-coup demonstrations at Naypyitaw on Feb 9.
- Police ordered the student from National Management Degree College (NMDC) to stop writing the slogan “Reject Military”. In front of the college street, students trying to write the words declaring “Reject Military” and police reportedly ordered them to disperse. It is reported that anti-coup people make a vast slogan written on a main thoroughfare and the roofs in hoping to watch the international community through satellite. Some writings of a vast slogan have been destroyed by police in some cities.
- Yesterday (Feb18), a group of people wearing robes beat the cars with sticks and knives near the Bahan 3 Road bus stop in Yangon, and residents of nearby Yaetar Shay ward were attacked, leaving four people injured.

- It is reported that the China Airline’s relief flight for Taiwanese in Myanmar, originally scheduled to depart on Feb 28, has currently been rescheduled for Feb 21, Mar 14, and Mar 28.
- In Tharyarwady district, Bago region, the township general administration department convened a meeting to prosecute CDM staff in Latbadan township. CDM staff from the Fire Department, the Veterinary Department, the Rural Development Department, Myanmar Economic Department and Irrigation Department would be charged, according to a voting system during the meeting.
- South Korea’s National Security Council expressed concern over political instability in connection with the recent military coup. As of the statement of Cheong Wa Dae (the Blue House), they have already agreed to cooperate with the international community for restoration of constitutional order through legitimate, democratic and peaceful manner, according to the Korea Herald.
- In Myitkyina, Kachin state, police attacked teachers and arrested more than 10 people including two teachers who were gathering to join the protest supporting the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) near the Myitkyina Education Degree College this morning (Feb 19).
