Myanmar’s Rohingya crisis explained: Over 1,700 in Indonesia

More than 140 Rohingya arrived in Indonesia’s North Sumatra, next to Aceh province, on Jan. 1. This adds to over 1,700 Rohingya refugee arrivals to Indonesia since November. The Indonesian navy pushed a boat carrying refugees away from its coastal waters last Friday.
