The electoral campaign for the regime scheduled 2025-26 elections started on Oct. 28. But Myanmar citizens have complained that the regime Union Election Commission (UEC) is forcing them to check incomplete voter lists. Some political parties report that their own candidates have not been registered by the UEC to vote. Independent media are not allowed into Myanmar to cover the elections, leading many to believe this is an “election” in name only.
