Voting is well underway in Burma’s historic general election.
Polling booths opened at 6 o’clock this morning with people queuing across the country to have their say in the new government.
“I’ve never been this excited,” said one Rangoon woman as she lined up to vote in Burma’s historic general elections on Sunday.
30 million Burmese are expected to vote. A new president will be named early next year.
