Thinzar Oo attended military training after the 2021 military coup, then went on to establish the Unity People’s Defence Force (PDF) and the White Elephant Column to fight against the regime. Despite her husband being sentenced to seven years in prison and her mother a life sentence, she did not lose hope. Thinzar Oo now runs a restaurant to support her children, while continuing to support the resistance to the coup.
