Residents in Mandalay Region’s Mogok told DVB that the military will be escorted back into town by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), the ethnic armed group which seized control of the lucrative ruby mining hub last year as a part of the Brotherhood Alliance’s Operation 1027 offensive.
China brokered a ceasefire between the TNLA and Myanmar’s military regime, which will lead to more seized territory coming under Naypyidaw’s control by Nov. 29.
